Your Wolverines competed at the Montgomery County Invitational on Saturday. This was the team’s first meet back since the holiday break and everyone competed at a high level. There were over fifteen season personal best performances and qualifying marks for the 3A West Region meet.
The top performance of the day came from: Girls 800-meter relay finished fourth overall at the meet, missing medaling by one second. The Lady Wolverines (Rhoda Miller, Legaci Lyles, Daija Harper and Nana Tutu) ran a 1:48.2, which is the second-best time in the state thus far this season. Rhoda Miller also scored an eighth-place finish in the 500-meter run with a region qualifying time of 1:24.3.
On the boys’ side, the top performances came from the boys 3200-meter and the 1600-meter relays. The boys ran two of the top times over the last 4 years indoors in addition to six season personal bests in the 1600-run, 55-dash, 300-dash and the triple jump.
