Boys Varsity Football · 2020 Wolverine Football

I would like to say that I am excited and looking forward to my first season as a Wolverine! I would like to first thank Principal Goddard for giving me this opportunity.

I played my high school football at St. John’s College H.S. in Washington D.C. where I was born and raised. I went on to Salisbury University and was fortunate enough to earn a spot as a receiver on the football team.

My first coaching experience was in 1999 at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School as an offensive coordinator.  Six years later I became the head coach. I have been a head coach at BCC, Churchill and  Northwood.  I have dedicated over 30 years of my life to football.

We have compiled a diverse staff of very experienced coaches, (H.S., College, NFL) that care about our student athletes not only as players, but also as young men.

Currently we are engaged in a 28 week off season conditioning program. This program was specifically designed for high school football players. We currently have 35+ players attending!

We are going to visit feeder Middle Schools during the month of March to promote our program to the incoming 8th graders. My goal is to get them to start establishing relationships with our program, players and coaches.

We are going enhance our relationship with the MV youth football program. We want to acclimate their players and coaches to our program as quickly as possible. The goal being to keep our players at Watkins Mill.

We will fund raise to get any equipment that we need to enhance our program and to stay competitive.

Future Goals:

  • Reduce\Eliminate the number of players transferring out to play football at other schools
  • Get more community involvement\support form the parents in the community
  • We want to establish a youth football camp that will be held for 1 week during the early Summer of 2021. This camp will have WM coaches and players working with our youth in the community.
  • Compete for a State Title!

I am looking forward to meeting all of you in the near future.
